Deeply Rooted Public Health (DRPH)was established in 2025 as an immediate response to the dismantling of public health systems and infrastructure in the United States. DRPH serves as a solution to strengthen organizations’ capacity enabling pathways to enhance systems change. To address the causes of poor health and pervasive wicked problems, we must get deep into its roots. DRPH believes that health does not exist in silos, but is deeply rooted through our connectedness and collective impact, stretching further across systems and sectors when organizations are aligned in contributions and actions. The Ubuntu philosophy “I am because we are” serves as our guiding light. We are each uniquely positioned to “be the change we seek”. Public health systems are stronger when we set our collective power in motion across organizations and communities.
